Converse is an American shoe company that was founded in 1908. It was one of the earliest pioneers in the sporting good and sneaker industry. Converse is probably best know for their Chuck Taylor All Star basketball shoes, which are canvas high tops with rubber soles. This style comes in a huge variety of colors, designs, and patterns. The versatility and popularity of the Chuck Taylor's has led some people to start collecting them. I have a relative whom inherited his father's collection a couple years ago and has been adding to it since. He mixes and matches his different Chuck's in order to make an unique pair of shoes. Converse is now owned by Nike.
