The Grim Brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, are famous for writing and collecting a variety of folklore and publishing it as Grimm's Fairy Tales. The Grimm brothers first publication was Children's and Household Tales, published in 1812. This collection featured over 200 fairy tales, some of which were new, unexpected versions of older tales, and were much darker and more violent than the versions we know today. Among the more famous fairy tales of the Grimm brothers are Cinderella, The Frog Prince, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White.
